Lovingkindness for Ourselves

Overview: The intention of this 15-minute guided meditation is to open the heart and offer lovingkindness to ourselves. Many people find it easy and natural to offer lovingkindness to others, but may find it awkward or challenging to turn that back around to their own self. Based in the Buddhist practice of metta (lovingkindness), you’ll have the option to explore gentle self-touch paired with phrases of self-compassion.

Through time and repetition, this practice can help us become more aware of our self-critical inner dialogue and develop an attitude of friendliness and affection toward our own self.
